Castle Opening Times 2012
Please note that on Saturday 18th February, due to an event taking place in the Castle, tours will be at the following times: 11.00am, 12 noon, 12.45pm and 1.15pm.
Entry is by Guided tour only
April to October
Daily from 11.00am - 3.00pm
March and November
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday from 11.00am to 3.00pm
January, February and December
Weekends only from 11.00am to 3.00pm
Childrens Tours
The Castle's experienced guides have tailor-made a tour specially for children. These are available at 11.30am and 1.30pm on a Saturday and Sunday between 31st March and 4th November and daily during the schools holidays (excluding February half term). In December there will be a children's tour at 12.30pm on December 1st & 2nd and 15th & 16th. The tour takes approximately 60 minutes and is specifically geared for children aged 5 -16 years and their families. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Garden Opening Times
Open daily throughout the year (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, & New Years Day)
9.00am - 5.00pm (4.30pm winter months).
If you don't want to explore the gardens yourselves, on the last Wednesday of every month between February and September you can enjoy a tour of the Gardens with our lady gardener, Dorothy. The tours will commence at 1.30pm and last approximately one hour. Purchase your gardens ticket at the Gift Shop (normal garden admission charges apply) on the day and Dorothy will meet you there.Dates: 29th February, 28th March, 25th April, 30th May, 27th June, 25th July, 29th August and 26th September.

Members of the Serving Armed Forces will be admitted free of charge (with proof of identification) plus up to three members of their family.
