It offers privacy and discretion in the relaxed surroundings of seventeen acres of ancient and beautiful woodland pleasure grounds with its Deer Park, lake and magnificent Walled Gardens.
The Castle makes an excellent setting for those moments when you just want to get the team together for sales and marketing meetings, teambuilding or training sessions, conferences, board meetings or discussions away from the workplace.
It is the perfect location for family occasions such as Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Christenings, Naming Ceremonies and family funerals or wakes. The first-class comfort of our coaching inn The Boar’s Head (25 rooms, all double or twin) is a two minute stroll from the front door of the castle, ideal for the small to medium residential event when you want to combine serious business with good food and relaxed enjoyment.
Ripley Castle is very easy to find and easy to get to from just about everywhere: we are fifteen minutes off the A1 and 45 minutes from the M1 and M62. Leeds Bradford Airport, which has regular flights to London and Europe, is less than 40 minutes away. Half-hourly train services come to York and Leeds from London Kings Cross: the journey to York takes 1 ¾ hours, and it's a 45 minute drive from York to Ripley.
